Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

The Purpose of Life site respects visitors’ privacy and protects personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU Regulation 2016/679). The site operator can be contacted at contact@rostul-vietii.ro.

2. Data collected

We may collect the following data, only when you send it yourself:

  • Contact form: name, email address, phone number, subject and message.
  • Brochure orders: the same data and the delivery address.
  • Newsletter: your name and email address.
  • Sending a link by email: the email address you give, used once for that message.
  • Comments: your name and email address. The email address is never shown publicly.
  • The IP address of your device when a form or comment is sent, as protection against spam.
  • Answering messages, delivering ordered brochures, sending the newsletter and publishing comments rest on your consent (the consent checkbox, subscribing through the form, sending the comment).
  • Protection against spam and abuse, and not writing again to addresses that rejected or reported our messages, rest on the operator’s legitimate interest.

4. How long we keep data

  • Contacts, messages and orders: 24 months after the last activity, then deleted.
  • An unsubscribed newsletter row: 12 months, then deleted. Active subscribers stay on the list while subscribed.
  • Rejected or unapproved comments: 90 days. Approved comments are public content and stay while the page is online; you can ask for their deletion at any time.
  • IP address from forms: 90 days.
  • Technical application logs: 30 days.
  • Mail copies sent by the platform (the newsletter and links sent by email included): 90 days.

Deletion after these periods runs monthly, so data can be kept at most one month beyond a period.

  • Database backups expire on their own; a deleted row can remain in them for 3 months at most.

5. Who processes the data

Data from forms, comments and subscriptions is stored and processed only by:

  • Microsoft Azure (database, files and hosting, in West Europe);
  • Microsoft 365 (email: replies, confirmations and the newsletter).

In addition, when you visit the site:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile receives your IP address and a browser token when you send a form, to check that you are not a robot.
  • GoatCounter receives a page view (page, source, browser) for statistics. According to the provider’s documentation it does not store the IP address (https://www.goatcounter.com/help/gdpr).
  • Unsplash: some pages load a picture from Unsplash servers, which receive the visitor’s IP address.

The content of sermons (their audio and text, not visitors’ data) is processed by Azure Speech, Auphonic, Cleanvoice, ElevenLabs, fal.ai (which passes the texts to OpenRouter and OpenAI) and published through GitHub. Data from forms, comments and subscriptions is not sent to these services. Some of them (for example Cloudflare, GitHub, fal.ai, OpenRouter, OpenAI, Unsplash) are provided from the United States.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of your personal data
  • Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to data portability — you may request transfer of your data
  • Right to object — you may object to the processing of your data
  • Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting earlier processing
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, www.dataprotection.ro)

7. How to ask for deletion or access

Write to contact@rostul-vietii.ro from the email address you used. We will ask you to confirm by reply, then delete the data from the database, the files and the mailbox, and answer within one month.

8. Cookies

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated periodically. Last updated: 14 October 2026.
